Custom Seasons with Manual Fixture Management
Learn how to create seasons without selecting a format and manage all fixtures by hand. Perfect for irregular schedules, friendly tournaments, and custom competition structures.
Prerequisites
Before starting this tutorial, make sure you have:
- A group with at least 2 teams created
- Admin or Owner role in the group
- Create a season without a predefined format
- Add and manage teams in your season
- Manually create and organize fixtures
- Convert fixtures into playable matches
- Track match results and standings
- Complete a season and declare a champion
Start by creating a new season in your group. Navigate to your group's Seasons page and click "New Season".
- 1Choose a season type: League, Tournament, or Cup
- 2Give your season a name and optional description
- 3Skip the format selection — leave it as "None" for full manual control
By skipping the format selection, you get complete manual control over your fixtures. This is ideal for irregular schedules, mixed round-robin and knockout stages, or any competition structure that doesn't fit a standard format.

Once your season is created, add the teams that will participate.
- 1Go to your season's overview page
- 2Click "Add Teams" to select from your group's teams
- 3Select all teams that will participate in this season
- 4Click "Add" to confirm your selection

With teams added, navigate to the Fixtures tab to start building your schedule.
- 1Click the "Fixtures" tab on your season page
- 2You'll see an empty fixtures list since no format was selected
- 3Use the "Add Fixture" button to start creating fixtures manually

Create each fixture individually with full control over matchups, scheduling, and venues.
- 1Click "Add Fixture" to open the fixture creation dialog
- 2Select the home team from the dropdown
- 3Select the away team from the dropdown
- 4Assign a round number to organize your fixtures
- 5Set the match date
- 6Set the kick-off time
- 7Optionally specify a venue
- 8Click "Save" to add the fixture
- 9Repeat for all fixtures you need in your competition

Once your fixtures are set up, convert them into playable matches that can be tracked live.
- 1Select the fixtures you want to create matches for
- 2Click "Create Matches" to bulk-create matches from selected fixtures
- 3Matches will be created with the dates, times, and venues from your fixtures
- 4Created matches appear in your group's Matches page
You can create matches for all fixtures at once, or do it round by round. Creating matches round by round gives you flexibility to adjust upcoming fixtures based on results.

As matches are played, track them live or record results afterward.
- 1Open a match from the Matches page
- 2Use the Live Tracking feature to record events in real-time
- 3Or manually enter the final score after the match
- 4Standings are automatically updated as results come in

When all matches are finished, complete your season to finalize standings and declare a champion.
- 1Review final standings on the season overview page
- 2Click "Complete Season" to finalize the competition
- 3The champion is automatically declared based on the final standings
- 4A champion banner will display on the season page

Plan Your Schedule
Sketch out your fixture schedule before adding fixtures. This helps avoid conflicts where a team plays twice on the same day.
Use Rounds Consistently
Assign round numbers even for custom formats. This keeps fixtures organized and makes it easy to filter and view matchdays.
Create Matches Gradually
Create matches round by round rather than all at once. This lets you adjust upcoming fixtures based on results or availability changes.
Check for Conflicts
The system warns you if a team is scheduled to play twice on the same day. Review warnings before saving fixtures.
