Tips & Best Practices

Create Template Seasons

Set up a well-configured season as a template that you clone for each new competition cycle.

Clone Early

Clone your next season while the current one is still running to have time for setup adjustments.

Name Seasons Clearly

Use clear naming conventions like "Spring League 2026" to easily distinguish between seasons.

Use Auto-Generate Fixtures

Enable auto-generate when cloning with the same teams to save time on fixture creation.

Common Issues

Clone Button Not Visible

  • You must have Admin or Owner permissions
  • The season must exist (not deleted)

Fixtures Not Generated After Clone

  • Ensure auto-generate was enabled in clone options
  • Check that at least 2 teams are included
  • You can manually generate fixtures from the season page

Wrong Teams in Cloned Season

  • You can remove unwanted teams before activating
  • Add missing teams from the Teams tab
  • Regenerate fixtures after team changes
