Season Statistics
Explore the comprehensive statistics system with 37 stat types across 6 categories, top performers, and custom stat definitions.
Prerequisites
Before viewing season statistics, you need:
- A Balla Stats account
- Membership in a group with an active or completed season
- At least one completed match with recorded statistics
Balla Stats automatically tracks 37 different statistics across 6 categories for every match. Statistics are aggregated at the season level to show top performers, averages, and totals.

Navigate to your season page and click the "Statistics" tab. Statistics are automatically loaded and aggregated from all completed matches in the season.
Offensive statistics track all attacking contributions from players.

The statistics tab automatically highlights top performers in each category. Cards show the leading players for goals, assists, clean sheets, and other key metrics.
You can create custom stat definitions if the default 37 types do not cover your needs. Custom stats support three data types:
Supported Data Types
- NUMBER: Numeric values (goals, assists, distance covered)
- BOOLEAN: Yes/No values (clean sheet, man of the match)
- TIME: Time-based values (minutes played, possession time)
Custom stats are tracked at the group level and are available across all seasons in that group. They appear alongside the default 37 stats in match recording and season statistics.
Use Match Awards
Combine statistics with match awards to recognize top performers at the end of each match.
Check Per-Match Averages
Statistics show both totals and per-match averages, giving a fairer comparison between players who have played different numbers of matches.
Create Custom Stats Early
Define custom stats before the season starts so they are available for tracking from the first match.
Zero Stats Are Hidden
Statistics with zero values are automatically hidden from the display to keep the view clean and focused on meaningful data.
