Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with Balla Stats in under 10 minutes. This guide walks you through creating your account, setting up your first group, adding teams and players, and scheduling your first match.

First, head to the registration page.
You have two options to create your account:
Email Registration
- 1Enter your full name
- 2Enter your email address
- 3Create a strong password
- 4Click "Create Account"
Google Sign-In
- 1Click "Continue with Google"
- 2Select your Google account
- 3Authorize the connection
- 4Your profile is automatically filled
If you register with email, check your inbox for a verification email. Click the link to verify your account before logging in.
Groups are the foundation of Balla Stats. They contain your teams, players, and matches.
After logging in, you will see your dashboard. To create your first group:
- 1Click "Create Group" from the dashboard or the sidebar
- 2Enter a group name (e.g., "Sunday League" or "FC United")
- 3Add an optional description
- 4Choose visibility:
- Public: Anyone can view your group
- Private: Only members can access
- 5Click "Create Group"
Group created!
You are now the Owner of your group with full control over settings, teams, and members.
Now let's add the teams that will play in your group.
- 1Navigate to your group's Teams page
- 2Click "Add Team"
- 3Enter the team name
- 4Choose a primary color for the team
- 5Click "Create Team"
Pro Tip
Create at least two teams so you can schedule matches between them. You can always add more teams later.
Players can be added as internal players (no account needed) or linked to existing user accounts.
Adding Internal Players
Best for quick setup when players do not have accounts:
- 1Go to your group's Players page
- 2Click "Add Player"
- 3Enter the player's name
- 4Select a position (optional)
- 5Assign a jersey number (optional)
- 6Click "Save"
Repeat for all players you want to add. You can always edit player details later.
Linking Existing Users
If players already have Balla Stats accounts:
- 1Go to your group's Players page
- 2Click "Add Player"
- 3Enter the player's email address
- 4The system will search for matching accounts
Linked players can view their own stats, receive notifications, and manage their profiles directly.
With teams and players set up, you are ready to schedule a match.
- 1Navigate to your group's Matches page
- 2Click "Schedule Match" or "New Match"
- 3Select the home team and away team
- 4Choose the match type:
- Friendly: Casual game between teams
- Pickup: Informal game with flexible rosters
- Turf Rental: Includes cost splitting features
- 5Set the date and time
- 6Add an optional venue
- 7Click "Create Match"
